India is not a poor country but millions of its villagers continue to be poor. Today, there is no dearth of ideas, for those who want to make a village beautiful, empowered, prosperous and self-sustaining. One half of a century has passed by since independence; yet our villages lack basic amenities and economic activities. Living in villages has become a challenge. Limited education, scarce employability, lack of quality health-care and entertainment has forced rapid migration. This is resulting in further deterioration of the living standards in villages. The trend has to be changed…
What is lacking is strategy, structure and system to make a village a model village. By definition model is a representation of an ideal world. Is our village representing such a world where we all would love to live in? The answer is ‘NO’.
The strategy is to encourage each of us to own our village and make it a model village. MVMVF has designed and developed the structure, and the systems to enable you to make your village a model village.
MVMVF’s strategy is to identify NGOs, experts in different activities, both at state and national level, and partner with them and work together as a group to transform the villages into Model Villages.
