This foundation is an outcome of aspirations of many who have migrated from their villages and are now searching for an opportunity to give back something to their own villages. In spite of the tough challenges, they have contributed their part for the development of their villages.
People from villages have gone far off and are well settled. They credit their growth and prosperity to the roots of their villages. Now when they come back to their villages, they find no changes. There are no proper healthcare facilities, the infrastructure of the schools is in bad shape, and one finds lack of civic amenities. Agriculture is no more a priority, and sanitation is bad. For the people who have left their villages, resources are not a constraint. They are all ready to give back to their own villages. There are enough representatives from each village who can participate and contribute their mite to make their village a model village.
The question in everybody’s mind is who is going to do it; they have a limitation to spare sufficient time. Villagers (the residents as well as the migrated) can participate in the transformation of the villages, but they need somebody to guide, act as a mentor who can facilitate and professionally manage the various village development initiatives.
Thus "My Village Model Village Foundation (MVMVF)" took shape as a facilitator to act as a bridge between the migrants coming forward to contribute to the development of their village and the village itself as a unit.
